An early start again today, Suzanne (Chairperson), Andrew (her partner), Will (Chair’s Son), Myself and Lindsey (my partner) continue to lay the turf. The turf will form the walkways around the allotments.

Today we’ve completed laying all 326 turfs that arrived on 5 pallets, we’ve been raking, watering, weeding, levelling, and moving turf! We had to move the original turf strip, put down on Day 1, because we did not have enough turf for the middle strip!

(please do not walk on the grass, when visting the site, it’s been recently laid!)

Andrew has conducted many man hours of work for Gravel Pit Allotments Association. (levelling, dragging, digging, tree and hedge cutting, hedge laying, turf laying etc) – items that have been continuing in the background, possibly “unseen” that have helped the Association get to this position today.

So Andrew, if your reading – On behalf of Gravel Pit Allotments Association I would like to say a “Big Thank You!”.
